About El Paso Locomotive FC

El Paso Locomotive FC bring affordable, family-friendly soccer to El Paso, Texas as an independent club in the USL Championship. Founded in 2018 and beginning play in 2019, the club competes in the league’s Western Conference and represents the city with black, white, and copper/orange colors under the ownership and operation of MountainStar Sports Group.

Home matches are played at Southwest University Park in downtown El Paso. Opened in 2014, the venue holds approximately 9,500 fans (with expandable configurations) and is primarily a ballpark built for the El Paso Chihuahuas, configured to host Locomotive soccer matches. The downtown setting helps create a lively, community-oriented match-day feel—complete with railroad/locomotive-themed celebrations.

Locomotive’s identity is deeply tied to the region’s culture, with a “para El Paso” community-and-culture focus that celebrates the binational border-city character of the El Paso–Ciudad Juárez area. And with USL Championship demand rising for rivalry and conference matchups—plus the league’s role as a proving ground for talent—browsing El Paso Locomotive FC tickets early is the smartest move.

El Paso Locomotive FC Seating at Southwest University Park

Southwest University Park offers a range of seating experiences for different budgets, group sizes, and match-day goals. As a baseball-first venue configured for soccer, the match setup places the pitch within the seating bowl, with a mix of closer lower seating and more elevated value areas.

Best Seats for El Paso Locomotive FC Games

The right seat depends on what kind of match day experience you're after:

  • Best value: Upper-bowl seating and outfield/berm (lawn) general-admission areas — a more budget-friendly way to take in the match with a big-picture view and plenty of crowd energy
  • Closest to the action: Lower general seating closest to the pitch — ideal if you want to feel the speed of play and hear the in-game communication
  • Best overall view: Center sections along the main grandstand nearest midfield — strong sightlines for seeing shape, passing lanes, and attacking movement develop across the pitch
  • For groups and premium experiences: Suites and club/premium seating areas along the main grandstand — added comfort and a premium setup for groups or special occasions

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting a high-demand matchup, it’s smart to coordinate seats early so everyone can sit together.
