About Carroll Stadium

Carroll Stadium is officially known as Michael A. Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium and is located on the Indiana University Indianapolis campus, formerly IUPUI, just west of downtown Indianapolis. The stadium opened in 1982 and is owned and operated by Indiana University Indianapolis. With approximately 12,111 seats, it serves as a compact but significant outdoor sports venue designed around both track and soccer competition.

The facility is home to IU Indy Jaguars NCAA Division I soccer and track and field, and Indy Eleven of the USL Championship has used Carroll Stadium as its home field during multiple periods. Its event mix centers on collegiate and professional soccer, track and field meets, and related outdoor athletic competitions. The stadium has also served as a competition site for national and collegiate track and field events.

What makes Carroll Stadium distinctive is its combination of a 400-meter Mondo running track, a lighted FieldTurf Revolution soccer field, and a campus location along the White River and White River Greenway.

How Much Do Tickets to Carroll Stadium Cost?

Carroll Stadium ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team or matchup, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from collegiate soccer and track and field to professional soccer matches.

For collegiate soccer and track and field events, prices are typically low, often free to modest single-digit or low double-digit pricing. These events can offer a strong value for fans who want to experience NCAA Division I competition in an outdoor campus stadium.

For professional soccer, including Indy Eleven matches when hosted at Carroll Stadium, prices are typically modest and commonly fall in the lower-to-mid double-digit range per ticket. Marquee fixtures, opponent strength, and overall demand can push the most desirable listings higher.

Buying earlier generally secures better seat selection for higher-demand matches. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, the best remaining sections can become harder to find, especially for professional soccer dates and larger competitions.

Getting Ready for Your Carroll Stadium Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at an open-air stadium on a downtown campus.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the gate without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for on-campus parking, which can fill for larger meets or professional matches.
• Wear the right footwear. Carroll Stadium is an outdoor venue with grandstand steps, so comfortable shoes are advisable for navigating stairs and open-air seating.
• Dress in layers. Seating is exposed to sun, wind, rain, and temperature swings, so dress for the forecast and bring layers for evening events.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. The IU Indy campus location is close to downtown, but larger matches and meets can create heavier parking and arrival demand.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
