About Stetson Basketball

Stetson men’s basketball competes at the NCAA Division I level in the ASUN Conference (Atlantic Sun), with Division I membership established in 1971. A defining milestone arrived in 2024, when the Hatters won the ASUN Conference Tournament title to earn the program’s first-ever NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament appearance. Key names tied to that breakthrough include head coach Donald “Donnie” Jones and guard Stephan Swenson.

Home games are played at Edmunds Center in DeLand, Florida, an on-campus arena that opened in 1974 and holds approximately 5,000 fans. The building’s single-bowl design creates a close-to-the-court feel, with a student- and community-driven atmosphere that fits the Hatters’ game-day identity.

In the ASUN, conference matchups can drive serious local and regional interest—especially against Florida-based opponents. Rivalry and high-demand games include the Jacksonville Dolphins, North Florida Ospreys, and Florida Gulf Coast Eagles. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Stetson Hatters tickets early is the smartest move.

Getting Ready for Stetson Hatters Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially at an on-campus arena where entry and nearby parking can pick up closer to tip-off.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Edmunds Center gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Doors typically open roughly one hour before tip-off for college basketball games.
• Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance.
• Plan your rideshare pickup point — post-game pickups near Edmunds Center can take longer than expected.
• Use on-campus and nearby lots. On-campus and nearby parking is generally available for home games in DeLand.
