Few college hoops environments feel as close, loud, and sustained as a packed Kohl Center in Madison. From the steeply pitched bowl to the roar that builds toward tip-off, Wisconsin Badgers Basketball tickets put you in the middle of one of the Big Ten’s toughest home-court settings.

This page covers everything you need — from choosing the right seats at the Kohl Center to knowing what to expect when you arrive on game day.

About Wisconsin Basketball

Wisconsin men’s basketball represents the University of Wisconsin–Madison in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big Ten Conference. Established in 1898, the Badgers own one NCAA National Championship (1941) and four Final Four appearances (1941, 2000, 2014, 2015)—including back-to-back trips in 2014 and 2015, with the 2015 team reaching the national championship game. The program has also surpassed 1,700 all-time wins (1,732 through the end of the 2024–25 season) and is long associated with disciplined, methodical basketball built around the swing offense.

The Badgers’ modern era is filled with standout names and award winners. Frank Kaminsky earned 2015 National Player of the Year honors and helped lead Wisconsin to the national title game, while stars like Sam Dekker, Devin Harris (Big Ten Player of the Year in 2004), Michael Finley, Alando Tucker (Big Ten Player of the Year in 2007), and Ethan Happ have anchored memorable teams across decades. On the sideline, championship coach Harold “Bud” Foster led the 1941 title run, Dick Bennett guided the 2000 Final Four team, and Bo Ryan built the modern powerhouse with Final Four runs in 2014 and 2015. Greg Gard succeeded Ryan and has continued Wisconsin’s identity of disciplined execution and Big Ten contention.

Home games are played at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin, a multipurpose arena that opened in 1998 and seats approximately 17,287 for basketball. Named for former U.S. Senator and Milwaukee Bucks owner Herb Kohl, the venue is known for modern amenities and a steep bowl design that keeps fans close to the action. Add in Bucky Badger, the UW Band, and a strong student presence, and the Kohl Center regularly delivers a loud, sustained atmosphere.

Wisconsin’s schedule also features matchups that can drive serious demand. The annual in-state rivalry with Marquette is a marquee non-conference date, while Big Ten battles with Minnesota, Michigan State, Indiana, and Purdue often carry major standings and seeding implications. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Wisconsin Badgers Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.

How Much Do Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Tickets Cost?

Wisconsin Badgers Basketball tickets typically range from around $20 to $50 for upper-level seats to $60–$150+ or more for lower-bowl and premium seating, with suites and hospitality packages running higher.

Prices rise most for marquee opponents and high-demand spots on the calendar. Rivalry games and major matchups—such as Marquette, Michigan State, Indiana, and Purdue—can carry higher price points, and games with conference-standings implications or national TV slots can also push demand. For value, compare different dates, opponents, and sections—upper-level corners and end sections are often a strong budget-friendly entry point.

No hidden fees. At Box Office Ticket Sales, the price you see is the price you pay. All fees are shown before checkout — no surprise charges when you reach the final step.

Getting Ready for Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially at a busy on-campus/downtown arena where entry lines and traffic can build quickly around tip-off.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Kohl Center gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
• Public Transit: The Kohl Center is served by Madison Metro bus routes and is walkable from the UW–Madison campus and downtown Madison.
• Rideshare: Use the designated rideshare pickup/drop-off zones near the arena on game days.
• Bag Policy: A clear-bag policy is enforced. Small clutch bags are allowed within size limits, while larger and non-clear bags are prohibited.
• Payment/Cashless: Bring a card or mobile payment — Kohl Center is cashless.
• Re-entry: Re-entry is generally not permitted — plan to stay once you're inside.
