About Forward Madison FC

Forward Madison FC bring affordable, family-friendly soccer to Madison, Wisconsin as members of USL League One, the third division of the U.S. professional soccer pyramid. Founded in 2018 (and beginning play in 2019), the club has carved out a distinct identity with its bold flamingo theme—earning the nickname “The Flamingos” and building a fan culture that’s as recognizable as the team’s “Flamingo pink,” light blue, and navy colors.

Forward Madison plays home matches at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, a historic municipal stadium that opened in 1925 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With a capacity of approximately 5,000, the venue’s compact design and iconic masonry grandstand help create an up-close experience where the crowd feels connected to the action on the pitch.

Breese Stevens Field is a compact, single-level stadium built around a historic grandstand along one sideline, with additional general-admission and supporter areas around the pitch. Because the layout keeps fans close, you can prioritize atmosphere, sightlines, or value without feeling far removed from the match.

Best Seats for Forward Madison FC Games

The right seat depends on what kind of match day experience you're after:

• Best value: General admission sections and the supporters’ terrace end — a lively, elevated value option with plenty of crowd energy at a lower price point
• Closest to the action: Grandstand/reserved seating along the main sideline — stay tight to the pitch and feel the speed of play up close
• Best overall view: Midfield grandstand seating along the main sideline — strong sightlines around midfield so you can see the match develop across the pitch
• For groups and premium experiences: Hospitality and group areas where offered — added comfort and a more private setup for celebrations, company outings, or larger groups

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting a high-demand matchup, it’s worth locking in seats early so everyone can sit together.

Getting Ready for Forward Madison FC Match Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially at a compact, downtown venue where arrival timing and nearby parking can shape your whole match day.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Breese Stevens Field gets congested on match days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Gates typically open about one hour before kickoff.
• Use public transit if you can — it's often faster than driving on match day. Breese Stevens Field is accessible via Madison Metro Transit bus routes and is walkable from downtown and the Capitol Square area.
• Plan your rideshare pickup point — post-game pickups near Breese Stevens Field can take longer than expected. Rideshare drop-off and pickup are available near the stadium entrances around East Washington Avenue / North Few Street.
• Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance. Clear-bag and small-bag policies are typically in effect, with restrictions on oversized bags and prohibited items.
• Bring a card or mobile payment — Breese Stevens Field is cashless.
• Parking strategy matters. On-site parking is limited, so plan for street parking or nearby downtown/public lots and ramps, and give yourself extra time.
