About Austin Peay Governors Women's Basketball

Austin Peay Governors women’s basketball competes at the NCAA Division I level in the ASUN Conference (Atlantic Sun). The program has reached the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Tournament seven times, building a history that includes multiple conference championships across its longtime Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) era and beyond.

The Govs play home games at F&M Bank Arena in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. Opened in 2023 with an approximate capacity of 5,500, the arena gives Austin Peay basketball a modern, multi-purpose home base while keeping the energetic mid-major college basketball feel that makes the sport so fun in person.

Rivalry energy has long been part of the program’s identity, with traditional matchups from the OVC era including Tennessee State and Murray State. In the ASUN, regional games can still bring extra edge, including fellow Tennessee program Lipscomb.
