About Creighton Bluejays Basketball

Creighton men’s basketball dates back to 1916 and competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Big East Conference. The Bluejays have built a reputation as one of the sport’s most consistent programs across multiple eras, highlighted by major NCAA Tournament moments like a Sweet 16 in 1974, the program’s first modern-era Elite Eight in 2021, and Sweet 16 runs in 2023 and 2024. The list of standout Bluejays includes Doug McDermott (2014 National Player of the Year), Kyle Korver, Paul Silas, and coach Greg McDermott, who has led the program since 2010.

Home games are played at CHI Health Center Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska. Opened in 2003 (originally the Qwest Center Omaha), it seats approximately 17,000–18,500 for basketball and brings a modern, downtown arena feel to college hoops. Creighton routinely draws some of the nation’s strongest attendance figures, and the blue-clad fan base helps create a loud, professional-caliber environment for every home tip.

Creighton’s Big East schedule features high-demand matchups, and several rivalries consistently drive ticket interest—especially games against Villanova, Xavier, and Marquette. The in-state non-conference showdown with the Nebraska Cornhuskers also carries major statewide attention. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Creighton Bluejays Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
