Finding Nemo Jr. Tickets

If you're looking for Finding Nemo Jr. tickets, you're planning a family-friendly musical adventure that brings Disney and Pixar's undersea world to the stage through young performers, imaginative costuming, puppetry, movement, and songs by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Adapted from the 2003 animated film Finding Nemo and connected to the stage legacy of “Finding Nemo – The Musical” at Disney's Animal Kingdom, this junior production is built for audiences who want a bright, accessible, kid-friendly theater experience.

This page covers everything you need — from what the show is and what to expect, to finding the right seats and buying with complete confidence.

Show Information

Disney's Finding Nemo Jr. is a children's musical adapted from the 2003 Pixar/Disney animated film Finding Nemo. The stage version features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez and expands on the original songs created for “Finding Nemo – The Musical,” the live stage production associated with Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The junior format reshapes the story into a compact musical designed for youth casts, schools, family theater programs, and community stages.

Finding Nemo Jr. is approximately 60 minutes long and is performed without an intermission. The show is licensed through Music Theatre International as part of the Disney Theatrical Group junior-title catalog, with performances scheduled by schools, youth theaters, and family stage companies in local markets. Because productions are staged by different organizations, performance dates, curtain times, and venue layouts can vary by city and producing group.

The show's reach extends across the United States and internationally through MTI licensing. Its connection to “Finding Nemo – The Musical,” the extended live stage production that ran for years at Disney's Animal Kingdom, gives the junior title a distinctive theatrical background, with original Broadway-caliber source songs adapted for younger performers and family audiences.

Story Summary

Finding Nemo Jr. follows Marlin, an anxious clownfish living in and around the Great Barrier Reef, after his son Nemo is captured by a diver and taken far from home. Determined to bring him back, Marlin sets out across the open ocean on a dangerous and emotional journey that pushes him beyond his fears.

Along the way, Marlin meets Dory, a kindhearted blue tang whose forgetfulness is matched by her optimism. Together they encounter sharks, sea turtles, and other ocean creatures as they race toward Sydney, Australia, where Nemo is being kept in a dentist's office aquarium with Gill and the Tank Gang. The story balances adventure and comedy with themes of parental love, courage, friendship, perseverance, and learning when to let go.

Finding Nemo Jr. stands on its own, so audiences do not need prior familiarity with the film to enjoy the production. Its story is easy for children to follow, while its themes of family, bravery, and trust land clearly for theatergoers of all ages.

Story Highlights

Finding Nemo Jr. features several musical moments that help turn the ocean journey into a lively stage experience:

• `"Big Blue World"` — This expansive opening-style number introduces the vast ocean setting and establishes the show's sense of wonder. It gives the audience an immediate feel for the scale of Marlin and Nemo's undersea home.
• `"Fish Are Friends, Not Food"` — A comic highlight featuring Bruce and the sharks, this number brings big laughs through its playful “vegetarian shark” premise. It is one of the show's clearest examples of how the musical turns familiar characters into stage-friendly entertainment.
• `"Just Keep Swimming"` — Dory's signature anthem of perseverance is one of the production's most recognizable and uplifting moments. The song captures the show's message of moving forward even when the journey feels uncertain.
• `"Go With the Flow"` — Led by Crush the sea turtle, this laid-back number brings movement, personality, and youthful energy to the stage. It gives the ocean adventure a lighter, breezier rhythm while keeping the story moving.
• `"Where's My Dad?" / "Nemo's Reprise"` — These connected emotional moments form the heart of the story as father and son reach toward each other across the journey. They underscore the bond between Marlin and Nemo and bring the show's family themes into focus.

Finding Nemo Jr. Seating Guide

Finding Nemo Jr. is performed in a range of theater settings, including school auditoriums, youth theater spaces, community venues, and family stage-company theaters. Because each venue is different, where you sit can shape how close you feel to the puppetry, costumes, movement, and young performers bringing the ocean world to life.

Best Seats for Finding Nemo Jr.

The best seats for Finding Nemo Jr. depend on your budget, group size, and how close you want to be to the stage:

• Best value: Upper mezzanine or rear orchestra sections — These seats often provide a clear full-stage view while helping families and groups manage the overall cost of attending.
• Closest to the stage: Front orchestra sections — Sitting close can make the puppetry, costumes, character expressions, and ensemble movement feel more immediate and immersive.
• Best overall experience: Mid-orchestra or front mezzanine sections — These areas usually offer a strong balance of proximity and perspective, especially for a musical with movement across the stage.
• For families with young children: Aisle-access seats can make arrivals, exits, and restroom trips easier. Since Finding Nemo Jr. runs about 60 minutes with no intermission, families may want seats that feel comfortable and easy to access before the show begins.
• For groups: Coordinate contiguous seats early, since blocks in popular orchestra and mezzanine sections can sell through quickly for school, youth theater, and community performances.

Can I See Where My Seats Are?

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Use it to understand your angle to the stage, your distance from the front, and whether you're in the orchestra, mezzanine, or balcony — so the seats you choose match exactly what you're looking for before the curtain rises.

Getting Ready for Show Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation makes the full experience run smoothly from arrival through the final bow.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cell service around the venue can be congested on busy performance nights. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before heading out so you're ready at the door without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard at most theaters. A portable battery pack is worth having, especially if you're combining the show with dinner or other activities.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before curtain. Most venue doors open well before the show begins; arriving early gives you time to find your seats and settle in before the house lights go down — and avoids the disruption of late seating, which many theaters restrict.
• Plan for a 60-minute run with no intermission. Finding Nemo Jr. is approximately one hour long and does not include an act break, which is helpful to know in advance, especially for families attending with young children.
• Know the venue's phone and photography policy. Audiences are typically asked not to photograph or record during the performance, so silence your phone before the show begins and keep it put away until after the curtain call.
• For families: The production is suitable for most children and is designed as a family-friendly musical. Talking through the 60-minute runtime before arrival can help younger theatergoers know what to expect once the performance starts.
