About Atrium Health Ballpark

Atrium Health Ballpark is a purpose-built baseball facility located at 2888 Moose Road in Kannapolis, North Carolina. Opened in 2020, with its first games played in 2021 after the pandemic delayed inaugural use, the $52 million ballpark is owned by the City of Kannapolis and serves as the home of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, the Single-A Carolina League affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Its capacity is approximately 4,930, including roughly 4,000 fixed seats plus berm, lawn, standing, group, and social areas that expand the experience beyond the main seating bowl.

The ballpark is regarded as a centerpiece of downtown Kannapolis revitalization and replaced the team’s older stadium as part of a broader redevelopment effort. Its event mix includes Cannon Ballers Minor League Baseball, college baseball games, community events, private and group functions, and seasonal special events. Baseball season runs roughly from spring through early fall, with MiLB and college baseball bringing steady activity to the venue in spring and summer.

Atrium Health Ballpark is known for its compact single-bowl design, walkable downtown location, 360-degree concourse, and outfield berm and lawn seating that give fans multiple ways to experience the field.

How Much Do Tickets to Atrium Health Ballpark Cost?

Atrium Health Ballpark ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team or event, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from college baseball games to high-demand Cannon Ballers promotional nights.

For Kannapolis Cannon Ballers regular-season Minor League Baseball games, general and reserved seats are often priced at approximately $8–$20, with premium and group options higher. Opponent, matchup, promotional nights, giveaways, day of week, and group demand can all affect final pricing.

For college baseball and special events at Atrium Health Ballpark, single-ticket pricing is typically modest and often falls in a similar low range. Special event format, group demand, and seating availability can influence the final cost.

Buying earlier generally secures better seat selection for popular promotional games. As inventory shrinks and the date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise, especially for in-demand nights and group-friendly games.

Getting Ready for Your Atrium Health Ballpark Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical steps make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at an open-air downtown ballpark where parking, weather, and pregame timing can shape the experience.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the gate without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Arrive early for popular promotional games to ease downtown parking and give yourself time to enjoy the walkable downtown dining scene before first pitch.
• Wear the right footwear. Downtown access is mostly flat and the concourse is a standard ballpark layout, but berm seating involves a grass slope, so comfortable shoes are helpful.
• Dress in layers. Atrium Health Ballpark is open-air, so bring sun protection for day games and layers for cool spring and evening games.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Downtown parking can fill for popular games, especially promotional nights, so allowing extra time helps reduce last-minute stress.
