About North Alabama Basketball

North Alabama men’s basketball represents the University of North Alabama in NCAA Division I as a member of the ASUN Conference. After building one of the most storied programs in Division II—highlighted by a national championship era and decades as a Gulf South Conference contender—the Lions began their transition to Division I in 2018 and have continued building their footing at the mid-major level.

Flowers Hall—located on the University of North Alabama campus in Florence, Alabama—has been the longtime home of UNA basketball since the 1970s era. With an approximate capacity of 4,000, it delivers a close-quarters atmosphere where the crowd sits tight to the court and the energy ramps up quickly as tip-off approaches.

On game nights, North Alabama’s identity is easy to spot: Purple and Gold in the stands and a campus tradition built around the Lions—complete with the school’s live lion mascot tradition (named Leo). Within the ASUN schedule, conference matchups can drive demand, and longtime regional familiarity has included Jacksonville State, along with competitive meetings with programs like Austin Peay. If you’re targeting a specific matchup, browsing North Alabama Lions Basketball tickets early is a smart way to get the seat location you want.
