About the Madison Capitols

The Madison Capitols bring affordable, family-friendly hockey to the Madison metro area as a Tier I junior team in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The current USHL franchise began play in the 2014–15 season, competing in the league’s Eastern Conference and helping develop amateur players (typically ages 16–21) for the next level, including NCAA Division I college hockey and beyond.

Capitols game nights are built around an intimate, community-oriented setting at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena (LEGACY20 Arena) in the Middleton (Madison metro area) area. The arena is a community ice facility with strong local youth and amateur hockey ties, and it honors Bob Suter, a member of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” U.S. Olympic team. With fans close to the ice, the pace and physicality of junior hockey can feel even faster in person.

USHL schedules can create high-demand nights — especially on weekends, theme and promotional games, group outings, and playoff matchups. For the best selection at the best value, browsing Madison Capitols tickets early is the smartest move.
