This page covers everything you need — from choosing the right seats at Viaero Event Center to knowing what to expect when you arrive on game night.

About the Tri-City Storm

The Tri-City Storm bring fast, affordable, family-friendly ice hockey to Kearney, Nebraska as members of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Founded in 2000, the Storm compete in the Western Conference of the USHL, a Tier I junior league that develops players for NCAA Division I college hockey and beyond.

On home nights, the Storm play at Viaero Event Center in Kearney. Opened in 2002, the multi-purpose arena hosts hockey, concerts, and community events and serves as a primary indoor entertainment venue for the region. With a capacity of approximately 5,000 (around 4,500–5,000 for hockey), the building delivers an intimate atmosphere with an engaged local crowd and a strong youth-and-family presence.

As a development-focused USHL franchise, the Storm roster turns over seasonally as players advance along their hockey paths, and the team has a history of competing in the Western Conference — including winning the Clark Cup (USHL championship) in 2016. If there’s a specific high-demand date you’re targeting, browsing Tri-City Storm tickets early is the smartest move.

Tri-City Storm Seating at Viaero Event Center

Viaero Event Center offers a range of seating experiences for different budgets, group sizes, and game-night goals, with a single primary seating bowl surrounding the ice in a classic, mid-sized arena setup.

Best Seats for Tri-City Storm Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game night experience you're after:

• Best value: Upper/corner and end sections — an elevated view of the full sheet of ice, strong crowd energy, and a lower price point
• Closest to the action: Lower-level seating — feel the pace up close along the boards and near the corners
• Best overall view: Center-ice sections along the sidelines — strong sightlines with plays developing across the ice from the center ice perspective
• For groups and premium experiences: Look for larger blocks of seats in the bowl — a great option for families, youth groups, and friends who want to sit together

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting a high-demand matchup, it’s smart to lock in seats early so you can find the right quantity together.

• Parking: On-site and nearby surface parking is available at the Viaero Event Center.
• Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance.
