How Much Do Tickets to Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds Cost?

Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds ticket prices vary widely depending on the type of event, the promoter, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from low-cost fairs, livestock shows, and expos to touring family experiences like Jurassic Quest and Brickfest Live.

Touring family and interactive events, including examples such as Jurassic Quest and Brickfest Live, are commonly priced at approximately $20–$40 per person. Add-ons, premium timed-entry options, or higher-demand time slots can cost more.

Fairs, livestock shows, and expos are often low-cost or free general-admission events, typically under $20 when admission is charged. Pricing can shift based on the event promoter, whether the event uses timed entry, and whether add-on activities or VIP options are offered.

For popular touring family events, buying earlier generally secures better time slots and pricing. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, the best remaining options can become more limited.

Getting Ready for Your Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a fairgrounds campus with indoor halls, outdoor grounds, and large paved parking areas.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. For large touring events, give yourself extra time for parking across the sizable paved lots and for timed-entry check-in.
• Wear the right footwear. The fairgrounds campus includes indoor halls and outdoor grounds, so comfortable shoes are helpful for walking across the complex and paved lots.
• Dress in layers. Outdoor portions are exposed to South Texas heat and coastal weather, so dress for the conditions when your event includes outdoor areas.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Large touring events can bring heavier arrival traffic, parking activity, and check-in lines around popular entry times.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
