About Stonehill Skyhawks Women's Basketball

Stonehill Skyhawks Women's Basketball represents Stonehill College in NCAA Division I as a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). After decades competing at the NCAA Division II level—primarily in the Northeast-10 Conference—Stonehill began its transition to Division I in the 2022–23 academic year, making the Skyhawks one of the newer D-I programs in the country.

That transition has made the program’s current era about building in the NEC and establishing Division I milestones as the team continues to develop. With conference matchups and regional opponents on the schedule, Stonehill home games offer a clear way to follow a growing program up close.

Stonehill plays at Merkert Gymnasium in Easton, Massachusetts. With an approximate capacity of 2,000, it delivers a close-to-the-action environment where fans are near the court, and the atmosphere is driven by students and the local community in an on-campus gym setting.

In the NEC, Stonehill’s natural competitive rivalries include regional league opponents—most notably the Merrimack Warriors, another former Northeast-10 program that also reclassified to Division I and joined the NEC. Other conference matchups include Central Connecticut State, Fairleigh Dickinson, and Sacred Heart (prior to their departure). If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Stonehill Skyhawks Women's Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
