About Wagner Football

Wagner football represents Wagner College in NCAA Division I FCS competition as a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC). The Seahawks have won NEC football championships and earned automatic bids to the FCS Playoffs in their strongest seasons, with notable recent success coming in the early 2010s. One of the most closely associated figures in the program’s modern era is Walt Hameline, the long-serving head coach and athletic director who helped shape Wagner football’s identity.

Seahawks home games are played at Hameline Field at Wagner College Stadium on Staten Island, New York. With an approximate capacity of 3,000, the stadium’s hilltop campus location is known for its views of New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline, creating a game-day environment that feels close to the action and connected to the campus community.
