About North Florida Ospreys Basketball

North Florida men’s basketball competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the ASUN Conference (Atlantic Sun). The program reached a milestone in 2014–15, winning the ASUN Conference Tournament championship to earn its first NCAA Tournament bid. That era helped define modern UNF hoops, led by longtime head coach Matthew (Matt) Driscoll and standouts like Dallas Moore, Beau Beech, and Parker Smith.

Home games are played at UNF Arena on the University of North Florida campus in Jacksonville, Florida. Opened in 1993, the arena holds approximately 5,800 fans and is known for an intimate mid-major setting where you’re never far from the court. With a student-driven, close-to-the-court environment, UNF Arena is built for loud runs, momentum swings, and a true campus game-night feel.

In the ASUN, matchups can get especially intense — particularly the cross-town rivalry with the Jacksonville Dolphins, often called the “River City Rumble.” Conference games against programs like Florida Gulf Coast and in-state rival Stetson also help drive demand. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing North Florida Ospreys Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
