About the Mahoning Valley Scrappers

The Mahoning Valley Scrappers bring affordable, family-friendly baseball to Niles and the Youngstown–Warren metro area as members of the MLB Draft League. Founded in 1999, the Scrappers now compete in a collegiate summer and draft-prospect showcase league operated in partnership with Major League Baseball—making Scrappers games a great way to catch emerging talent in a classic, community-focused setting.

Scrappers game nights are known for the kind of fan experience that makes summer baseball special: promotional nights, fireworks, giveaways, and between-inning fan contests, with mascots Scrappy and Rally adding to the ballpark energy. The team’s home is Eastwood Field, an intimate venue opened in 1999 with an approximate capacity of 6,000.

Getting Ready for Mahoning Valley Scrappers Game Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially with summer crowds and pre-game arrivals around the Eastwood Mall complex.

  • Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Eastwood Field gets congested on game nights. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
  • Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
  • Arrive early. Gates typically open approximately one hour before first pitch, so give yourself extra time for entry and getting settled.
  • Parking. On-site parking is available via the surrounding Eastwood Mall complex lots.
  • Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance.
