About Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Basketball

Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men’s basketball competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the ASUN Conference. The program became nationally known as “Dunk City” after its historic 2013 NCAA Tournament run, when FGCU became the first #15 seed ever to reach the Sweet 16. Key figures from that era and beyond include head coach Andy Enfield, ASUN Player of the Year Sherwood Brown, and fan-favorite playmakers like Chase Fieler, Brett Comer, and Eric McKnight.

Home games are played at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida. Opened in 2002, the on-campus Arena holds approximately 4,500 fans and is known for an intimate, loud environment when full. With seating close to the court, the compact size amplifies crowd noise and helps create a fast-paced, high-energy setting that fits FGCU’s up-tempo identity.

Within the ASUN, certain matchups consistently drive extra interest — including games against the Stetson Hatters, Jacksonville Dolphins, and North Florida Ospreys, plus frequent competitive battles with the Lipscomb Bisons. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
