About Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre opened in 1991 and is operated by Live Nation. The amphitheatre is located at 14141 Riverport Dr in Maryland Heights, Missouri, within the Riverport complex near the Missouri River. Its capacity is approximately 20,000, with about 7,000 reserved seats under the covered pavilion and around 13,000 lawn spaces on the sloped grass hill behind the pavilion.

The venue has long been one of the primary large-scale outdoor concert venues serving the St. Louis metro. It has operated under several names over the years, including Riverport Amphitheatre, UMB Bank Pavilion, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, and Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, reflecting its association with the nearby Hollywood Casino St. Louis. Its operating season typically runs from May through October, matching the summer-tour rhythm of outdoor amphitheatre concerts.

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO hosts major national touring artists across rock, country, pop, hip-hop, R&B, metal, alternative, and festival-style lineups. As a longtime St. Louis-area shed, it has welcomed a wide span of high-profile touring acts, and the 1991 Guns N' Roses concert became one of the most infamous events in its history after a riot broke out during the show.

Location & Transportation

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO is located at 14141 Riverport Dr, Maryland Heights, MO 63043 — in the Riverport/Maryland Heights area off I-70, about 20–25 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

Driving and Parking: The amphitheatre is primarily a car-access venue located off Earth City Expressway near I-70. On-site parking is available, but lots and exit routes can become heavily congested before and after shows. Arriving early gives you more time to park, walk to the gates, and get through entry lines before the performance begins.

Transit: Public transit service directly to the venue is limited, and most patrons arrive by car or rideshare. Because the amphitheatre sits in a car-dependent area, planning your arrival and departure timing matters more here than it would at a downtown transit-hub venue.

Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup are commonly used at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO. After the show, expect surge pricing and longer waits as large crowds leave the venue grounds at the same time.

Nearby Accommodation: Hotels are clustered in the Maryland Heights, Earth City, and Westport areas near I-70. Additional lodging options are available toward St. Louis Lambert International Airport and downtown St. Louis.

Venue Navigation

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO has a classic outdoor amphitheatre layout: reserved pavilion seating closest to the stage, a large open lawn rising behind it, and concourse areas with concessions and restrooms. Understanding whether your tickets are for the pavilion or lawn helps you move efficiently once you enter the grounds.

Entrances and Access: Main entry gates lead from the parking areas into the amphitheatre grounds. From there, guests are routed toward the reserved pavilion seating area or the general-admission lawn.

Seating Levels: The venue is organized into two broad areas: the covered reserved-seat pavilion fanned out in front of the stage and the open grass lawn behind the pavilion. Pavilion tickets place you in an assigned reserved seat, while lawn tickets provide general-admission access to the sloped lawn area.

Accessibility: Accessible seating and parking are typically available at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO. Guests who need accommodation can contact the venue in advance for assistance with accessible seating, parking, and arrival planning.

Getting to Your Section: Lawn seating is first-come general admission on a sloped grass hill, so comfortable footwear is recommended. Blankets or permitted lawn seating are commonly used, and arriving early can help you settle into your preferred lawn spot before the crowd fills in.

How Much Do Tickets to Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO Cost?

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO ticket prices vary widely depending on the type of event, the artist, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from lawn general admission concerts to high-demand headliners in premium pavilion seats.

Lawn and general-admission tickets can start as low as approximately $20–$45, depending on the artist and overall demand. The lawn is typically the most affordable way to experience a show at the amphitheatre while still being part of the full outdoor concert atmosphere.

Mid-tier reserved pavilion concert seats typically run about $50–$125. These tickets place you in the covered reserved-seat area closer to the stage than the lawn, with assigned seating and more defined sightlines.

For high-demand headliners, premium pavilion seats can reach approximately $150–$400 or more. Artist popularity, pavilion location, day of week, overall demand, and marquee tour status all influence how quickly prices rise for the best remaining seats.

Buying earlier generally yields better seat selection and pricing for popular shows, especially because pavilion inventory often sells first. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise.

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO Seating Guide

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO offers two distinct seating experiences: reserved pavilion seats close to the stage and an open general-admission lawn that rises behind the pavilion. Choosing between those areas comes down to your budget, sightline preference, weather-coverage needs, and how close you want to be to the performance.

Best Seats at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO

• Best value: Lawn general admission — the lawn is typically the most affordable option and works well for fans who want a flexible, social amphitheatre experience.
• Closest to the action: Front reserved pavilion rows nearest the stage — these seats put you closest to the performers and deliver the strongest sense of proximity.
• Best overall experience: Centered reserved pavilion seats under the roof — these areas balance stage view, sound, assigned seating, and weather protection.
• Premium and suite options: Premium reserved sections and club or VIP offerings near the front of the pavilion — these options provide upgraded location and service for fans seeking a more elevated concert experience.
• For groups: The lawn can be a strong fit for groups because it offers general-admission flexibility, while groups that want assigned seating should coordinate blocks of reserved pavilion seats early for high-demand shows.
• General admission: The lawn is general admission — arrive early if you want more choice in where to sit on the sloped grass hill.

Getting Ready for Your Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical preparations make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at an outdoor amphitheatre where parking, weather, lawn terrain, and mobile-ticket access all matter.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Large simultaneous crowds can congest mobile networks around the venue. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the gate without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for parking-lot fill, entry lines, and the walk from the lots. After the show, expect significant congestion exiting from this car-dependent site.
• Wear the right footwear. The lawn is a sloped grass hill that can be uneven and muddy after rain, so comfortable, appropriate shoes make the evening easier.
• Dress in layers. As an open-air venue, Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - MO is exposed to heat, humidity, and rain. Check the forecast and bring layers or venue-permitted rain gear.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Most guests arrive by car or rideshare, and traffic can build quickly before and after major shows. A larger arrival buffer helps reduce stress.
• Know your entrance. Look at whether your tickets are for the pavilion or lawn before arriving so you can move toward the right gate and seating area once you enter.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
