About Wilkins Stadium

Wilkins Stadium is a collegiate softball stadium located on the Wichita State University campus in Wichita, Kansas. Opened in 1997, it is owned and operated by Wichita State University and is also known as Wilkins Softball Stadium. The venue is the longtime home of Wichita State Shockers softball, an NCAA Division I program competing in the American Athletic Conference.

The stadium is regarded as a cornerstone of the Shockers softball program’s growth and has been the focus of a major modernization effort. A $17.5 million master plan renovation began development in 2024, supported in part by a $1.5 million gift and a $3 million investment from the WSU Board of Trustees.

Wilkins Stadium primarily hosts Wichita State softball games and related university athletic events during the collegiate softball season, which typically runs from late winter through late spring. Its identity is closely tied to Shockers softball and the continuing investment in the program’s on-campus home.

How Much Do Tickets to Wilkins Stadium Cost?

Wilkins Stadium ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from regular-season collegiate softball to rivalry, conference, and postseason dates.

For Wichita State Shockers softball regular-season games, tickets are typically low, often starting at modest single-digit to low-double-digit prices. Matchup strength, conference games, rivalry dates, postseason demand, and overall interest can all influence pricing.

Buying earlier generally provides better seat selection for marquee or postseason games. As inventory shrinks and the date approaches, prices for the best remaining seats can rise, especially when demand builds around a notable opponent or high-stakes date.

• Wear the right footwear. Wilkins Stadium is an outdoor campus facility, so expect some walking from parking areas and choose comfortable, supportive shoes.
