About Santa Clara Basketball

Santa Clara men’s basketball competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the West Coast Conference (WCC), with a history that includes a Final Four appearance in 1952 and multiple NCAA Tournament trips across the decades. The Broncos are also nationally remembered for the 1993 NCAA Tournament run, when 15-seed Santa Clara upset 2-seed Arizona in one of the tournament’s most famous upsets—sparked by freshman point guard Steve Nash. Other notable figures tied to the program include Kurt Rambis, longtime coach Dick Garibaldi, and standout player/coach Bob Feerick.

The Broncos play home games at Leavey Event Center on Santa Clara University’s campus in Santa Clara, California. Opened in 1975 with an approximate capacity of 4,700, the arena’s multipurpose design hosts men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball. Because of the intimate size and compact bowl, fans stay close to the court, and the building can get lively when the Broncos draw strong crowds.

Within the WCC, matchups with the San Francisco Dons and Saint Mary’s Gaels carry strong regional energy, while games against the Gonzaga Bulldogs serve as a measuring-stick matchup against the league’s premier program. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Santa Clara Broncos tickets early is the smartest move.

Santa Clara Broncos Seating at Leavey Event Center

Leavey Event Center’s single-bowl layout and compact footprint keep sightlines tight and bring fans closer to the court than many larger venues, making seat selection less about distance and more about the exact angle you want for the game.

Best Seats for Santa Clara Broncos Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game day experience you're after:

• Best value: Baseline and upper corner sections — elevated full view, crowd energy, lower price point
• Closest to the action: Courtside and lower sideline seats — feel the pace up close
• Best overall view: Center-court sideline seats near courtside — strong sightlines, plays developing across the court
• For groups and premium experiences: Premium courtside and center-court sideline seating — comfort and a top-tier experience for big games and special occasions

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting a high-demand WCC matchup, it’s smart to lock in seats early while larger blocks are still available.
