About Leavey Event Center

Leavey Event Center is an indoor arena located at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. Opened in 1975 and operated by Santa Clara University, it seats approximately 4,500 fans for basketball and serves as a campus-scale venue for athletics and university events. The arena is located along El Camino Real, placing it directly within the university environment.

The venue is the home court for the Santa Clara Broncos men's basketball, Santa Clara Broncos women's basketball, and Santa Clara Broncos women's volleyball programs, all competing in NCAA Division I as members of the West Coast Conference. It also hosts university events such as commencement ceremonies, convocations, and campus-sponsored programming. Basketball typically runs from November through March, while volleyball takes place in the fall, with university functions filling out the year-round schedule.

Leavey Event Center is closely tied to Santa Clara basketball history, including the era when NBA guard Steve Nash played collegiately for the Broncos on the program's home court.

How Much Do Tickets to Leavey Event Center Cost?

Leavey Event Center ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from regular-season Broncos basketball to higher-demand West Coast Conference matchups.

For college basketball regular-season games, tickets are commonly listed at approximately $8 to $30, with the lowest prices often found in upper, corner, or baseline areas. Center-court sideline and lower sideline seats typically cost more because they offer stronger sightlines and closer proximity to the court.

Higher-demand conference matchups can run higher based on the opponent, event demand, and conference significance. Marquee games with stronger demand may see the best-value seats move quickly, especially in preferred sideline areas.

Buying earlier generally provides better seat selection for marquee conference games. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise, especially when demand builds around a notable opponent or key conference matchup.

Getting Ready for Your Leavey Event Center Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical steps make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a campus arena where parking and arrival timing can matter on busy game days.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the arena entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Gates typically open one hour before game start, and arriving early helps with parking in campus lots on busy game days.
• Wear the right footwear. Leavey Event Center is a compact campus arena with minimal walking required from nearby parking, but comfortable shoes are still helpful for moving around campus and the concourse.
• Dress for an indoor venue. Leavey Event Center is indoors and climate-controlled, making it easier to plan your outfit around comfort for a full game or campus event.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. If you are using VTA bus service, Caltrain, rideshare, or campus parking, give yourself a buffer so you can reach the arena, pass through entry, and find your seats before the event begins.
