About Robert Morris Colonials Women's Basketball

Robert Morris women’s basketball is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Horizon League. The Colonials built their strongest legacy during their time in the Northeast Conference (NEC), where they won multiple NEC regular-season and tournament titles and earned several NCAA Tournament appearances. One notable figure in program history is longtime head coach Sal Buscaglia, who helped establish Robert Morris as a consistent NEC contender.

Home games are played at UPMC Events Center on the Robert Morris University campus in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, in the Pittsburgh metro area. Opened in 2019, the modern, multi-purpose arena hosts basketball, volleyball, and other events, and it replaced the older Charles L. Sewall Center. With an approximate capacity of 4,000, UPMC Events Center creates an up-close environment that’s ideal for fans who want a true on-campus college basketball atmosphere.

In the Horizon League, matchups with Cleveland State, Youngstown State, and Wright State help drive added attention. The program also has historical connections to opponents like Saint Francis (PA) and UMBC from its NEC era. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Robert Morris Colonials Women's Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.

Getting Ready for Robert Morris Colonials Women's Basketball Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially at a campus arena where arrival timing, parking, and entry can shape the start of your night.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near UPMC Events Center gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
• Public transit: Pittsburgh-area access includes Port Authority (Pittsburgh Regional Transit) bus service to Moon Township; the campus is west of downtown Pittsburgh near Pittsburgh International Airport. Use public transit if you can — it's often faster than driving on game day.
• Plan parking: On-campus parking lots are available adjacent to the UPMC Events Center.
• Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off is available at campus arena entrances. Plan your rideshare pickup point — post-game pickups near the arena can take longer than expected.
• Bag policy: NCAA/campus venues commonly enforce a clear-bag policy or small-bag size limits; confirm venue-specific limits before arrival. Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance.
• Payment: Bring a card or mobile payment — UPMC Events Center is cashless.
