About IU Indianapolis Jaguars Basketball

IU Indianapolis men’s basketball competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Horizon League, with Division I play dating to 1998. The program’s signature Division I achievements include NCAA Tournament appearances in 2003 and 2005, and it also built a winning foundation with multiple regular-season and tournament titles in the Summit League (then the Mid-Continent Conference) before joining the Horizon League in 2017. Notable figures tied to the program include longtime head coach Ron Hunter and standout alumnus George Hill.

Home games are played at Jerry & Marie Morris Gym, widely known as The Jungle, on the Indiana University Indianapolis campus. With an approximate capacity of 2,000, it offers a close-to-the-court, small-venue environment that fits the on-campus feel and keeps sightlines tight throughout the arena.

In the Horizon League, conference matchups can drive strong demand, including regional games against teams like the Wright State Raiders and the Youngstown State Penguins. There’s also a natural Indianapolis connection with the Butler Bulldogs, a historic local rival from Butler’s time in the Horizon League. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing IU Indianapolis Jaguars tickets early is the smartest move.
