About the Rapid City Rush

The Rapid City Rush bring affordable, family-friendly hockey to Rapid City, South Dakota as members of the ECHL. Founded in 2008, the Rush began play in 2008–09 in the Central Hockey League before joining the ECHL in 2014, continuing as a developmental pro franchise where fans can follow players as they push toward higher levels of the sport.

Rush home games are played at The Monument Ice Arena, part of The Monument complex in downtown Rapid City (formerly the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center / Barnett Arena). With an approximate hockey capacity of 6,000, it delivers an up-close, community-oriented environment that fits ECHL hockey perfectly—high energy, strong regional support, and a game-night experience built around entertainment, promotions, and theme jerseys.

As part of the ECHL’s Western Conference (Mountain Division), Rapid City competes for Mountain Division positioning and Kelly Cup playoff berths. For fans targeting popular dates—like weekend games, holiday matchups, or promotional nights—browsing Rapid City Rush tickets early is the smartest move.

The Monument Ice Arena offers a range of seating experiences for different budgets, group sizes, and game-night goals, with an intimate setup that keeps you close to the ice and the action throughout the building.

Best Seats for Rapid City Rush Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game night experience you're after:

• Best value: Upper and corner/end sections — elevated full view, crowd energy, lower price point
• Closest to the action: Lower seating around the ice surface — feel the pace up close
• Best overall view: Center-ice sections along the sides near center ice — strong sightlines, plays developing across the ice
• For groups and premium experiences: Explore available options for larger groups by shopping early and comparing inventory together

If you’re organizing a group outing or trying to get multiple seats together for a popular date, it’s smart to buy early—inventory can tighten quickly for weekends, holidays, and promotional game nights.

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Use it to get a clear picture of your sightline, whether you're positioned at center ice or behind a net, and how close you'll be to the ice — so the seat you choose matches what you're actually looking for.

Getting Ready for Rapid City Rush Game Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially in a downtown venue setting where arrival timing, parking choices, and entry lines can shape the start of your night.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near The Monument Ice Arena gets congested on game nights. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
• Public Transit: Rapid City Transit (RapidRide) provides service within the city, and the venue is located in downtown Rapid City.
• Rideshare: Rideshare drop-off and pickup is available at designated areas near the venue entrances.
• Bag Policy: Small bags are subject to search, and large bags are typically prohibited—check the venue’s bag guidelines before you go.
• Parking: On-site and nearby surface parking is available around The Monument complex.
