About Oklahoma State Cowgirls Softball

Oklahoma State Cowgirls Softball competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Big 12 Conference, with softball played at Oklahoma State since the 1970s and the program rising to national prominence in the modern era. In recent years, the Cowgirls have established themselves as a consistent national contender with multiple appearances in the Women’s College World Series in nearby Oklahoma City. Key figures tied to this era include head coach Kenny Gajewski, standout pitcher Kelly Maxwell, offensive contributor Chyenne Factor, and two-way standout Samantha Show.

The Cowgirls play home games at Cowgirl Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Opened in 1998 and upgraded over time, the stadium is a dedicated on-campus softball facility known for a close, fan-friendly layout and an atmosphere that keeps fans engaged pitch to pitch. With an approximate capacity of 1,250 (plus expanded standing-room and berm capacity on big game days), Cowgirl Stadium creates a loud home-field advantage where the orange-and-black crowd feels right on top of the field.

In the Big 12, demand spikes for the program’s biggest rivalry and conference matchups. The signature series is Bedlam vs. the Oklahoma Sooners, a high-emotion in-state showdown with national stakes. Games against the Texas Longhorns, along with conference battles versus Baylor and Texas Tech, also draw strong interest. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Oklahoma State Cowgirls Softball tickets early is the smartest move.
