About Kansas Jayhawks Women's Volleyball

Kansas Jayhawks Women’s Volleyball is the University of Kansas’ NCAA Division I program and a proud member of the Big 12 Conference. Established in 1971, the Jayhawks reached their historic peak under head coach Ray Bechard, making the program’s first-ever NCAA Final Four appearance in 2015 and finishing as national semifinalists. Kansas volleyball’s rise has been powered by standout talent, including Caroline Crawford (Jarmoc), Madison Rigdon, Ainise Havili, and Kelsie Payne.

Jayhawks home matches are played at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas. Opened in 1999 and renovated and expanded for volleyball, the arena holds approximately 1,300 fans and is designed to keep the crowd close to the court. That compact layout helps create a loud, energetic environment that has become a real home-court advantage.

Within the Big 12, certain matchups can drive serious interest—especially the in-state Sunflower Showdown against the Kansas State Wildcats, plus conference tests against the Texas Longhorns and Baylor Bears. Regional meetings with the Creighton Bluejays add extra meaning to the schedule as well. If there’s a specific rivalry match you’re targeting, browsing Kansas Jayhawks Women's Volleyball tickets early is the smartest move.

Getting Ready for Kansas Jayhawks Women's Volleyball Match Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially with on-campus traffic and busier entry lines around first serve.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena gets congested on match days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.

• Plan your rideshare pickup point — post-game pickups near Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena can take longer than expected. Rideshare drop-off and pickup is available near campus athletic facilities.
• Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance. Kansas Athletics enforces a clear-bag policy consistent with its venue standards, limiting bag sizes and prohibiting oversized bags; small clutch purses are typically permitted.
