About Houston Cougars Baseball

Houston Cougars Baseball is the NCAA Division I baseball program of the University of Houston, established in 1946 and now competing in the Big 12 Conference (as of the 2023–24 athletic year). Across its history, Houston has earned multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including hosting regional play in recent decades, and has advanced to NCAA Super Regional play in program history.

On game day, the Cougars play at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park on the University of Houston campus in Houston, Texas. Opened in 1996 and renamed Schroeder Park in 2009, the ballpark seats approximately 3,500 and is known for an intimate environment that keeps fans close to the diamond. The venue features chairback seating, berm/grass seating areas, and a press box, creating a classic college baseball feel with a tight, energetic atmosphere for marquee series.
