About Grambling State Tigers Basketball

Grambling State Tigers men’s basketball competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The program captured the SWAC regular-season title in 2019 and reached a landmark moment in 2024 with its first-ever NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament appearance—winning a First Four game before advancing to the Round of 64. Under head coach Donte’ Jackson, Grambling State has built the identity of an upper-tier SWAC contender with the kind of momentum that makes conference games and postseason pushes especially compelling.

Grambling State’s broader athletics legacy is nationally recognized, anchored by the school’s tradition as a prominent HBCU program. Eddie Robinson—though best known as a legendary football coach—helped define Grambling State athletics on a national stage and remains a foundational figure in the school’s sports identity. On the court, Grambling State has produced numerous SWAC standouts and professional-level talent across the HBCU basketball landscape.

How Much Do Grambling State Tigers Basketball Tickets Cost?

Grambling State Tigers Basketball tickets typically range from around $10 to $30 for general and reserved seating to $30–$30 or more for premium or center-court seating, with suites and hospitality packages running higher.

Prices move the most based on the opponent and the stakes. Rivalry games—especially matchups against Southern or Jackson State—can command higher prices, and conference-standing implications often push demand up as the SWAC race tightens. If you’re looking for value, consider less in-demand matchups or dates that fall on lower-demand days of the week.
