About the Danville Dashers

The Danville Dashers brought entry-level professional hockey to Danville, Illinois as members of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). Founded in 2011, the Dashers competed in the FPHL’s Empire Division, part of an independent developmental league that operates primarily in the Eastern and Midwestern United States.

For years, the team called David S. Palmer Arena home in Danville. Opened in 1976 with an approximate capacity of 3,000, the multi-purpose Arena has hosted hockey as well as concerts and community events, creating an intimate setting where the pace of the game feels close from nearly every vantage point.

FPHL hockey is also about opportunity: as an entry point for players starting pro careers, the league has seen players occasionally advance to higher levels like the SPHL or ECHL. If you’re planning ahead for a specific date, browsing Danville Dashers tickets early is the smartest move.
