About ACC Softball Tournament

The ACC Softball Tournament is the Atlantic Coast Conference’s annual postseason championship for NCAA Division I fastpitch softball, typically held early-to-mid May at the close of the regular season and ahead of the NCAA Tournament. The event is hosted at a rotating/designated host site among ACC member institutions (including neutral or host-campus sites in recent years), and it serves as the league’s defining postseason stage as teams push for a conference crown.

On the field, the tournament is a multi-day, bracketed championship with teams seeded by regular-season conference standings. Depending on the field size in a given year, top seeds may earn byes, and the tournament culminates in a final game that determines the champion. Beyond the trophy, the biggest prize is direct: the tournament champion earns the ACC’s automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division I Softball Championship, while strong performances can also influence NCAA Tournament seeding, regional hosting, and at-large consideration for other ACC teams.

The ACC has grown in national profile, highlighted by programs like Florida State, a frequent contender that won the 2018 NCAA national championship and has made multiple Women’s College World Series appearances. The tournament field also regularly features strong ACC programs such as Duke, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Louisville, with conference expansion (including Stanford and California beginning in 2024–25) adding depth to the mix. Host ballparks tend to create a close-to-the-action feel with concentrated seating near the field and a crowd built around students, families, and postseason urgency. If you're planning to attend ACC Softball Tournament, browsing tickets early is the smartest move.

How Much Do ACC Softball Tournament Tickets Cost?

ACC Softball Tournament tickets typically range from around $10 to $20 for single-session/general-admission tickets to $40–$75+ or more for premium reserved seating or all-session tournament passes, with premium packages running higher.

Several factors can move prices up or down. Session and day matter—later rounds like semifinals and finals tend to command more demand than earlier sessions. Prices also vary based on reserved seating vs. general admission, host-site demand, and whether a marquee program is still alive in the bracket. For value, general admission and earlier sessions are often the most budget-friendly ways to see multiple games and teams in one trip.

No hidden fees. At Box Office Ticket Sales, the price you see is the price you pay. All fees are shown before checkout — no surprise charges when you reach the final step.

Getting Ready for ACC Softball Tournament Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially for a daytime, outdoor college softball event where weather and between-game pacing can shape your experience.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cellular service near large events can get congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Gates typically open roughly 60–90 minutes before first pitch.
• Rideshare: Designated rideshare pickup/drop-off is typically available near campus venues; plan your pickup point ahead of time.
• Bag policy: Check the bag policy before you go so there are no surprises at the entrance.
• Bring a card or mobile payment — many vendors are cashless.
• What to bring: Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), weather-appropriate layers, and seat cushions where allowed.
