About University Field House

University Field House is an indoor collegiate athletics facility on the campus of East Texas A&M University at 2600 South Neal Street in Commerce, Texas. The venue is operated by East Texas A&M University, formerly Texas A&M University-Commerce, which is part of The Texas A&M University System. Commerce is located in northeast Texas, roughly 66 miles northeast of Dallas, giving the field house a true campus-town setting.

The venue serves as a home for East Texas A&M Lions indoor athletics, including East Texas A&M Lions men's basketball, East Texas A&M Lions women's basketball, and East Texas A&M Lions volleyball. Its event mix is centered on collegiate indoor athletics, with basketball and volleyball taking place during the fall-through-spring college sports calendar, along with campus and university-related events in an indoor court setting.

East Texas A&M University's athletic identity centers on the Lions, and University Field House is one of the key indoor homes for that tradition.

Location & Transportation

University Field House is located at 2600 South Neal Street, Commerce, TX 75428 — on the East Texas A&M University campus in northeast Texas.

Driving and Parking: Access to University Field House is primarily by car. Commerce is reached via State Highway 24 and State Highway 11, and campus and lot parking is the standard approach for events. Game-day parking is typically available in campus lots near the athletic facilities, so arriving early is helpful for popular matchups and university events.

Transit: Commerce is a small university town without major urban rail or subway service. Local transit options are limited, so most guests plan around driving, campus parking, or a local drop-off.

Rideshare: Rideshare service in Commerce can be more limited than in a major metro area, but drop-off at the campus athletic facilities is straightforward where service is available. After high-attendance games, building in extra pickup time is a smart move.

Nearby Accommodation: Lodging within Commerce is limited. Additional hotel options are available in nearby Greenville, Texas, with broader choices in the Dallas area to the southwest.

Venue Navigation

University Field House is an indoor collegiate field house built around court events, so understanding the court-centered layout helps when choosing seats and planning your arrival. For Lions basketball and volleyball, the main focus is proximity to the court and the best available view of play.

How Much Do Tickets to University Field House Cost?

University Field House ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from regular-season volleyball to higher-demand Lions basketball matchups.

For collegiate basketball and volleyball during the regular season, tickets are typically modest and often start low for general admission. Prices can rise based on the opponent, matchup, rivalry or conference significance, and overall demand.

Buying earlier generally provides better seat selection for higher-demand games. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, the best remaining options can become more limited.
