About Momentum Bank Ballpark

Momentum Bank Ballpark opened in 2002 as a baseball facility within the Scharbauer Sports Complex in Midland, Texas. The venue has carried several naming-rights identities over its history, including Citibank Ballpark and Security Bank Ballpark, before becoming Momentum Bank Ballpark. It seats approximately 4,709 fans in a baseball-primary configuration, with capacity that can flex for concerts and special events using the outfield and field areas.

The ballpark is operated in conjunction with the Midland RockHounds organization and serves as the home field for the Midland RockHounds of the Double-A Texas League, the affiliate of the Athletics. Its event calendar centers on minor league baseball from spring through early fall, roughly April through September, with concerts, promotional nights, fireworks events, family entertainment, and community gatherings adding to the schedule.

Regarded as the premier baseball venue in the Permian Basin, Momentum Bank Ballpark is known for close-to-the-action viewing, its open-air West Texas atmosphere, and RockHounds seasons that have included multiple Texas League championship-contending runs.

Driving and Parking: Arriving by car is the standard approach for Momentum Bank Ballpark. The venue sits off Champions Drive within the Scharbauer Sports Complex, where on-site parking is available for ballpark events. For concerts, promotional nights, and larger crowds, arriving early gives you more time to park within the complex and get settled before first pitch or showtime.

Transit: Midland has limited public transit, and the ballpark is primarily reached by car. There is no dedicated rail or subway service serving the venue, so guests typically plan around driving, rideshare, or nearby hotel access.

Rideshare: Rideshare services operate in Midland and can drop off and pick up at the Scharbauer Sports Complex. After larger events, availability can thin in the market, so building in a little extra post-event time is a practical move.

Venue Navigation

Getting to Your Section: The compact single-bowl layout makes sections straightforward to locate from the main concourse. For berm or lawn seating when offered, comfortable footwear helps with grass seating and walking around the open-air ballpark.

How Much Do Tickets to Momentum Bank Ballpark Cost?

Momentum Bank Ballpark ticket prices vary widely depending on the type of event, the opponent or artist, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from RockHounds general admission baseball to concerts and special events.

For Midland RockHounds baseball, general admission and berm tickets are often among the most affordable options, with representative prices around $8–$15. These areas are a strong fit for fans looking for a casual, flexible ballpark experience.

Reserved infield and premium RockHounds seats typically run around $15–$30 or more, depending on the opponent, promotional night, day of week, and seat location. Seats behind home plate, along the infield, and near the dugouts usually carry stronger demand because of their proximity to the field.

Concerts and special events at Momentum Bank Ballpark typically range around $25–$75+, with prices varying by act, demand, and event setup. When the field or outfield areas are used for an event, seating and standing-room configurations can influence the available price range.

Buying earlier generally secures better seat selection and pricing, especially for concerts and marquee promotional dates. As inventory shrinks and the date approaches, prices for the best remaining sections can rise, particularly for infield seats, premium areas, and high-demand events.
