About Midland County Horseshoe Arena

Midland County Horseshoe Arena, also known as The Horseshoe, is a county-owned multi-purpose venue located at 2514 Arena Trail in Midland, Texas. Opened in 2006, the complex includes an enclosed arena, an attached pavilion, and an outdoor amphitheater, giving it a flexible footprint for indoor, covered, and open-air events. Capacity varies by event configuration, with the arena accommodating several thousand guests depending on the layout.

The Horseshoe is promoted as West Texas’ largest premier venue and has hosted more than 3,000 events and roughly 2 million guests since opening. Its event calendar spans rodeos and equestrian competitions, concerts, trade shows and expositions, banquets and conferences, fairs, agricultural and livestock events, graduations, and community gatherings.

Its multi-building setup allows the same campus to handle dirt-floor rodeos, large indoor gatherings, outdoor concerts, and regional expos, making Midland County Horseshoe Arena a central gathering place for the Midland–Odessa region.

Location & Transportation

Midland County Horseshoe Arena is located at 2514 Arena Trail, Midland, TX 79702 — in a car-oriented West Texas setting serving the broader Midland–Odessa region.

Driving and Parking: Most guests arrive by private vehicle, and the complex has on-site parking off Arena Trail. For larger rodeos, concerts, expos, and community events, plan extra time for traffic entering the property, parking, and walking from the lot to the event area.

Transit: Midland does not have a major public rail or subway system, and transit is not a practical primary option for reaching the venue. Driving, rideshare, or a hotel-based trip plan will usually be the most efficient approach.

Rideshare: Uber and Lyft operate in the Midland area and can serve the venue. After large events, rideshare demand can rise quickly, so building in a little extra time after the show or gathering is a smart move.

Nearby Accommodation: Hotels are available throughout Midland, including clusters along the I-20 corridor and near Midland International Air & Space Port. Staying within a short drive of the complex can make arrival and departure easier, especially for multi-day events, expos, and weekend gatherings.

Venue Navigation

Midland County Horseshoe Arena is part of a larger Horseshoe complex that includes an enclosed arena, attached pavilion, and outdoor amphitheater. Because events can use different parts of the campus, reviewing your event listing and ticket details before arrival helps you head directly to the right area and plan for the setting you will experience.
