About Shepherd Football

Shepherd football competes in NCAA Division II as a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), with a tradition built on sustained success and multiple conference championships across different eras. One of the program’s signature achievements is its 2015 run to the NCAA Division II National Championship Game, where the Rams finished as national runner-up. Key figures tied to Shepherd’s rise include longtime head coach Monte Cater, who became one of the winningest coaches in program and Division II history, and Jeff Ziemba, who continued the winning tradition that followed.

On fall Saturdays, the Rams play at Ram Stadium in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. With an approximate capacity of 5,000, the venue creates a close-to-the-field feel that fits Shepherd’s small-town setting and draws strong community and student support. The result is a loud, personal game day environment where fans feel connected to every drive and stop on defense.

Shepherd’s schedule features matchups shaped by conference play and regional history, with rivalry energy often peaking against West Virginia Wesleyan, Fairmont State, and other familiar opponents from past conference eras. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Shepherd Rams tickets early is the smartest move.

Best Seats for Shepherd Rams Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game day experience you're after:

• Best value: Upper-level seating — an elevated full view, plenty of crowd energy, and a lower price point
• Closest to the action: Lower-level seating — feel the pace up close from the sideline
• Best overall view: Center sections near near midfield / the 50-yard line — strong sightlines as plays develop across the field
• For groups and premium experiences: Premium options like suites or club-style seating — added comfort and privacy for groups or special occasions

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting a high-demand matchup, it’s smart to buy early so everyone can sit together.

Getting Ready for Shepherd Rams Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially with the added activity and traffic that can come with an on-campus stadium environment.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Ram Stadium gets congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
