About the Kansas City Comets

The Kansas City Comets bring professional arena soccer to the Kansas City, Missouri region as a member of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). Founded in 2010 (originally as the Missouri Comets before rebranding), the club plays an up-tempo indoor game known for quick transitions, frequent scoring chances, and fans who stay engaged from the opening whistle to the final horn. The franchise also connects to Kansas City’s broader indoor soccer heritage, tapping into nostalgia tied to the original Kansas City Comets era while building its own identity in today’s MASL.

Comets home games are played at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri, a modern multipurpose arena opened in 2009 (formerly the Independence Events Center). In a soccer configuration of approximately 5,800, the building’s scale creates an intimate, close-to-the-action feel that fits the boarded arena style. With dedicated local support, music, and game-night promotions, it’s a fan-friendly environment where you can truly follow the flow of play and feel each momentum swing.
