About Elizabeth City State University Vikings

Elizabeth City State University competes in NCAA Division II athletics as a member of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). The Vikings represent a public, historically Black university (HBCU) located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and compete under the Vikings nickname with royal blue and white as their team colors.

As part of the CIAA — one of the oldest historically Black athletic conferences in the United States — ECSU tennis plays a regional schedule that includes conference opponents and non-conference Division II matchups. Across Vikings athletics, the program is closely tied to the school’s identity and community support, including the “#VikingPride” banner.

CIAA competition also brings built-in regional intensity, especially against familiar conference opponents. Matchups with Fayetteville State, Winston-Salem State, and Virginia State are part of the Vikings’ CIAA landscape, and those dates can draw extra attention. If there’s a specific rivalry matchup you’re targeting, browsing Elizabeth City State University Vikings tickets early is the smartest move.
