About New Brookland Tavern

New Brookland Tavern is an independently owned and operated live-music venue at 122 State St. in West Columbia, South Carolina. Its location places it near the Congaree River and just across from downtown Columbia.

The venue is a long-standing cornerstone of the Columbia-area independent and underground music scene, with a reputation as one of the region’s premier small rooms for touring and local bands. Its calendar has historically featured punk, rock, metal, hardcore, indie, hip-hop, singer-songwriter performances, local and regional band showcases, all-ages shows, and occasional comedy or special events.
