Christl Arena Tickets & Events

Part of the Louis V. Holleder Center on the United States Military Academy campus, Christl Arena gives Army basketball a distinctive Hudson Valley home court shaped by West Point tradition and the Corps of Cadets. Christl Arena tickets put fans inside an approximately 5,000-seat indoor arena for Army West Point men’s and women’s basketball, NCAA Division I competition, and Academy athletic events.

This page covers everything you need to know before you go — from finding the right seats to getting there, navigating the venue, and buying with confidence.

About Christl Arena

Christl Arena is an indoor multi-purpose athletic arena in West Point, New York, located inside the Louis V. Holleder Center on the grounds of the United States Military Academy. The Holleder Center complex opened in 1985, and Christl Arena is owned and operated as part of the Academy’s athletic facilities. With a basketball capacity of approximately 5,000, it serves as the primary home court for Army West Point basketball.

The arena hosts NCAA Division I college basketball, including Army West Point Black Knights men’s and women’s basketball, along with other Academy athletic and campus events. Basketball season typically runs from November through March, bringing cadets, alumni, families, and visiting fans together in a service-academy setting. The arena shares the Holleder Center complex with Tate Rink, Army’s hockey venue, and its location on a working military installation gives every visit a unique, security-conscious character.

Christl Arena also has a notable place in Army basketball history: it hosted a sold-out men’s basketball matchup against the Duke Blue Devils on November 11, 2025, marking Mike Krzyzewski’s return to West Point and setting a Christl Arena attendance record.

Location & Transportation

Christl Arena is located at 700 Mills Road, West Point, NY 10996 — on the United States Military Academy campus in the Hudson Valley, roughly 50 miles north of New York City.

Driving and Parking: West Point is primarily a car-access destination. Event guests enter through U.S. Military Academy access points, and on-campus parking is available for events. Because the arena sits on a secure military installation, build extra time into your arrival for gate access and security screening before you reach the Holleder Center.

Transit: Public transit options to the arena are limited, so driving is the most practical option for most guests traveling to Christl Arena. The West Point campus location makes advance planning especially important for visitors coming from New York City or other Hudson Valley communities.

Rideshare: Rideshare access is affected by the venue’s location on a secure military installation. Drop-off and pickup can be shaped by gate security procedures, so plan for additional arrival and departure time if using a rideshare service.

Nearby Accommodation: The Historic Thayer Hotel is located on the West Point grounds and offers the closest lodging option to the Academy setting. Additional hotels and accommodations are available in nearby Highland Falls and surrounding Hudson Valley towns.

Venue Navigation

Christl Arena is part of the Holleder Center complex on the U.S. Military Academy campus, so navigation begins before you reach the arena itself. Understanding the installation access process ahead of time helps make arrival smoother on game day.

Entrances and Access: Guests must enter the West Point installation through U.S. Military Academy security gates before proceeding to the Holleder Center. Valid identification is required to access the installation, and guests should expect gate security before arena entry screening.

Dining Options

Inside Christl Arena

Christl Arena offers standard arena concessions during games. For the smoothest experience, give yourself time before tipoff to pass through installation access, enter the arena, and purchase food or drinks before crowds build around game time.

Outside the Venue — West Point and Highland Falls

Dining near Christl Arena centers on the West Point campus and nearby Highland Falls. The Historic Thayer Hotel offers dining on the West Point grounds, while additional restaurants are available in Highland Falls for guests looking to eat before or after an Army basketball game.

Security & Policies

Christl Arena maintains security and venue policies that are updated regularly and may vary by event. Before attending, reviewing the current policy on the venue's official website is strongly recommended.

Bag Policy: Because Christl Arena is located on a secure military installation, guests should expect heightened security and bag screening. A clear-bag or limited-bag approach is typical for events, and packing light can help speed entry.

Commonly Prohibited Items: Standard prohibited items include weapons, outside food and drink, and other items deemed a safety risk. Additional restrictions can be enforced because the venue is on the U.S. Military Academy campus.

Entry Procedures: Visitors must pass through U.S. Military Academy gate security to access the installation, including identification checks. Arena entry can also include screening and digital ticket verification, so arriving with a compliant bag and pre-downloaded tickets helps keep the process moving.

How Much Do Tickets to Christl Arena Cost?

Christl Arena ticket prices vary significantly depending on the type of event, the team, seating section, and demand — which is what you'd expect from a venue that hosts everything from Army regular-season basketball to high-demand major-opponent matchups.

For Army West Point men’s and women’s basketball regular games, tickets are typically low-priced and often start around $10–$25. Pricing can vary by seat location, day of week, and overall seasonal interest.

For high-demand marquee matchups, including games against major opponents, prices can rise significantly higher based on demand. Sold-out games, high-profile opponents, and historically notable matchups can create stronger competition for the best remaining seats.

Buying earlier generally secures better seat selection and pricing, especially for high-demand opponents that can sell out. As inventory shrinks and the event date approaches, the best remaining sections often become harder to find at the lowest prices.

Christl Arena Seating Guide

Christl Arena uses a single-bowl arena configuration surrounding the basketball court, with seating for approximately 5,000 fans. Because Army basketball games center on an indoor court, your choice of seat mostly comes down to proximity, viewing angle, and overall game-day atmosphere.

Best Seats at Christl Arena

• Best value: Upper portions of the single-bowl seating area generally offer strong value for Army basketball games, giving fans a broad view of the court at a more accessible price point.
• Closest to the action: Courtside and lower-bowl seats nearest the floor provide the closest vantage point to the action, making them a strong choice for fans who want to feel the pace and intensity of the game.
• Best overall experience: Mid-range seats in the bowl can balance sightline, court proximity, and the energy of the crowd, especially for rivalry games and high-demand matchups.
• For groups: If you are buying for family, cadet guests, alumni groups, or visiting fans, looking for contiguous seats early gives you better options before high-demand games tighten up.

Can I See Where My Seats Are?

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Getting Ready for Your Christl Arena Event

Once your tickets are confirmed, a few practical steps make your visit run significantly smoother — especially at a venue located on the U.S. Military Academy campus with installation access procedures before arena entry.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before departing so you're ready at the entrance without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening.
• Arrive early. Allow time for U.S. Military Academy gate security and installation access, which can add to your arrival time beyond the arena itself.
• Dress in layers. Hudson Valley winters can be cold, and basketball season typically runs November through March, so dress for the weather when traveling to and from the installation.
• Build extra time into your transit plan. Driving onto the West Point campus includes security procedures before you reach Christl Arena, so an early arrival plan is the safest way to avoid feeling rushed.
• Know your entrance. Access runs through installation security gates, and valid identification is required to enter the West Point grounds before proceeding to the Holleder Center.
• Check the bag policy in advance. Reviewing the venue's guidelines before packing prevents delays at security.
