Big Christmas Energy Seating Guide

Big Christmas Energy is staged at the Dudley Riggs Theatre in downtown Minneapolis's Hennepin Avenue theater district. Because the show relies on live sketch comedy, songs, timing, and ensemble performance, where you sit can shape how close you feel to the action and how fully you take in the stage.

Best Seats for Big Christmas Energy

The best seats depend on whether you prefer value, proximity, or the most balanced overall view:

• Best value: upper mezzanine and rear orchestra sections — these seats can offer a strong view of the stage while keeping you comfortably positioned for the full performance.
• Closest to the stage: front orchestra sections — these put you nearest the performers, making the comedy, facial expressions, and live musical moments feel especially immediate.
• Best overall experience: mid-orchestra and front mezzanine sections — these areas typically provide a balanced combination of clear sightlines, stage proximity, and full-stage perspective.
• For groups: coordinate contiguous seats early, since blocks in popular sections sell through quickly during the holiday season.

Getting Ready for Show Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation makes the full experience run smoothly from arrival through the final bow.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cell service around the venue can be congested on busy performance nights. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before heading out so you're ready at the door without needing a signal.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard at most theaters. A portable battery pack is worth having, especially if you're combining the show with dinner or other activities.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before curtain. Dudley Riggs Theatre doors open well before the show begins; arriving early gives you time to find your seats and settle in before the house lights go down — and avoids the disruption of late seating, which many theaters restrict.
• Know the venue's phone and photography policy. Audiences are typically asked not to record or photograph during the performance, so silence your phone and keep it put away once the show begins.
• For older teens and adults. Big Christmas Energy is a satirical comedy production, and its humor may include adult material more suited to older teens and adults.
• Build time into your Hennepin Avenue plan. The show is staged in downtown Minneapolis's Hennepin Avenue theater district during the busy holiday season, so allow extra time for parking, dining, traffic, and getting to the theater entrance.
