About Wayne State Football

Wayne State football is an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Based in Detroit, the Warriors have a long history of football dating back to the early 20th century, with athletics roots at the institution reaching into the 1910s–1920s era. Over multiple eras as a GLIAC member, Wayne State has reached the NCAA Division II playoffs and put together strong seasons within the league.

The Warriors play home games at Tom Adams Field, an on-campus football facility located on Wayne State’s Detroit campus. With a capacity of approximately 6,000, it’s a setting that keeps you close to the field and creates an intimate college football experience in Midtown.

Within the GLIAC, matchups against regional Great Lakes programs can drive serious interest — including games versus Grand Valley State, Ferris State, and Saginaw Valley State. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Wayne State Warriors tickets early is the smartest move.
