About Vermont Soccer

Vermont Catamounts soccer is a long-established NCAA Division I program that competes in the America East Conference. The Catamounts have built a reputation as one of the premier mid-major programs in the Northeast, highlighted by seven America East Championships in program history, including the 2024 title. In recent seasons, Vermont has also made multiple NCAA Tournament appearances and has advanced to the third round (round of 16) in recent tournaments, including three consecutive third-round appearances.

A key figure in the program’s modern era is Rob Dow, the long-serving head coach associated with building Vermont’s competitive tradition in the America East. The program has consistently produced All-America East honorees and players who have gone on to sign professional contracts with MLS and USL clubs, with recent success defined by a strong team identity and frequent All-Conference honors.

Home matches are played at Virtue Field in Burlington, Vermont, a dedicated soccer facility on the UVM campus with a capacity of approximately 2,000. Renovated and modernized in the 2010s with artificial turf and lighting upgrades, Virtue Field features a press box and spectator seating, serving as home for both men’s and women’s soccer. The close-to-the-action layout helps create a lively feel—especially during conference tournament and NCAA Tournament matches.

In the America East, Vermont’s biggest demand games often come against regional and conference rivals like the New Hampshire Wildcats, Albany Great Danes, UMBC Retrievers, and Bryant Bulldogs—with Vermont defeating Bryant 2–1 in the 2024 America East Championship. If there’s a specific rivalry match you’re targeting, browsing Vermont Catamounts Soccer tickets early is the smartest move.
