About Rutgers Women's Volleyball

Rutgers women’s volleyball competes at the NCAA Division I level as a member of the Big Ten Conference, with the program in the league since Rutgers joined the Big Ten in 2014. Facing one of the nation’s deepest volleyball slates year after year, the Scarlet Knights are tested against perennial contenders and nationally ranked opponents throughout the season.

In recent seasons, Rutgers has been recognized for its strong front-row defense, ranking among the national leaders in blocks per set. The schedule typically builds from non-conference matchups into a demanding Big Ten stretch, where every match is an opportunity to measure up against elite competition.

Home matches are played at Rutgers Athletic Center (The RAC) / Jersey Mike’s Arena on the Livingston Campus in Piscataway, New Jersey. Opened in 1977, the venue seats approximately 8,000 and serves as Rutgers’ primary indoor athletics home, shared with the Rutgers basketball programs. Rutgers matches may also be held at the College Avenue Gym.

Within the Big Ten, regional and conference matchups can drive strong demand—especially against Penn State (a broader cross-sport rivalry) and frequent conference foe Maryland, which joined the league alongside Rutgers in 2014. If there’s a specific rivalry match you’re targeting, browsing Rutgers Scarlet Knights Women's Volleyball tickets early is the smartest move.
