About Richmond Spiders Women's Basketball

Richmond Spiders women's basketball represents the University of Richmond at the NCAA Division I level as a proud member of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). The program has earned postseason opportunities, including appearances in the WNIT and WBI, and has produced competitive seasons while battling for Atlantic 10 tournament positioning. In recent seasons, head coach Aaron Roussell has guided Richmond into a steady role among the A-10’s competitive programs.

The Spiders play at the Robins Center in Richmond, Virginia, an on-campus multipurpose arena that opened in 1972 and is named for E. Claiborne Robins. With an approximate capacity of 7,200, it delivers a close-to-the-court college basketball environment where the crowd can feel connected to every possession. Richmond’s unique “Spiders” identity—highlighted by the mascot WebstUR—helps define the game-day vibe.

  • Rideshare: Designated drop-off/pickup areas near campus venue entrances.
  • Bag Policy: Clear-bag policy consistent with NCAA venue standards; small clutch bags typically permitted, larger bags and backpacks generally prohibited.
