About RC Strasbourg

Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace (RC Strasbourg) is a historic French club founded in 1906 and competing in Ligue 1, the top tier of French professional football. The club’s honors include 1 Ligue 1 title (1978–79), 3 Coupe de France titles (1951, 1966, 2001), and Coupe de la Ligue titles in 2005 and 2019. The team’s story is shaped by iconic figures such as Gilbert Gress, Arsène Wenger, Marc Keller, and Oskar Rohr, all connected to Strasbourg’s deep football identity in Alsace.

RC Strasbourg plays home matches at Stade de la Meinau in Strasbourg, a historic venue opened in 1914 and renovated multiple times, including a major refurbishment for Euro 1984 with ongoing modernization and expansion. With a capacity of approximately 26,000, the Meinau is known for close-to-the-pitch sightlines and an atmosphere driven by passionate supporters, including organized ultras groups.

In Ligue 1, demand spikes for rivalry and marquee fixtures — especially the Derby de l'Est against FC Metz, plus regional matchups with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard and high-profile games versus Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique de Marseille. If there's a specific rivalry game you're targeting, browsing RC Strasbourg tickets early is the smartest move.

Prices rise with the opponent and the occasion — matches against Paris Saint-Germain, Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais, and derby games versus FC Metz tend to command higher demand. Day of week, competition stage, and European nights can also affect availability and pricing.

RC Strasbourg Seating at Stade de la Meinau

Stade de la Meinau delivers a classic football-stadium layout, with main grandstands along each sideline and stands behind both goals. With supporters close to the pitch and the Kop behind one goal driving constant noise, your seat choice can shape everything from your view of build-up play to how immersed you feel in the chanting and tifos.

Best Seats for RC Strasbourg Games

The right seat depends on what kind of match day experience you're after:

• Best value: Behind-the-goal stands (including the Kop) — a lively, vocal atmosphere and strong value for fans who want to be part of the noise
• Closest to the action: Lower sections along the sidelines — feel the pace of play up close as attacks move through the channels
• Best overall view: Central main-stand seating at midfield — balanced sightlines that help you read spacing and see plays develop across the pitch
• For groups and premium experiences: Main-stand hospitality and VIP seating, plus corporate boxes — added comfort and a more private setting for entertaining or special occasions

If you’re organizing a group outing or targeting high-demand fixtures like derby matches, locking in seats early makes it much easier to keep everyone together.
