About Merrimack Warriors Women's Basketball

Merrimack Warriors women's basketball represents Merrimack College in NCAA Division I competition and plays in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The program transitioned from NCAA Division II to Division I beginning in 2019, first competing in the Northeast Conference (NEC) before moving to the MAAC starting with the 2024-25 season.

The Warriors play their home games at Hammel Court, located within the Merrimack Athletics Complex / Lawler Rink complex area on campus in North Andover, Massachusetts. With an approximate capacity of 1,300, it’s an on-campus arena known for a close, energetic environment where fans sit near the court—ideal for anyone who wants an up-close view of the pace and physicality of college basketball.

As a newer Division I program and a recent MAAC entrant, the team’s rivalries are still developing, but conference matchups help define the schedule—especially games against programs such as the Iona Gaels, Quinnipiac Bobcats, and Marist Red Foxes.
