This page covers everything you need — from choosing the right seats at Idaho Central Credit Union Arena (ICCU Arena) to knowing what to expect when you arrive on game night.

About Idaho Vandals Basketball

Idaho Vandals men’s basketball represents the University of Idaho in NCAA Division I as a member of the Big Sky Conference. The program dates back to around 1906 and has produced memorable postseason moments, including Idaho’s signature Division I NCAA Tournament win over Iowa in the 1982 NCAA Tournament. Notable figures tied to Vandals basketball include head coach Don Monson, prolific scorer Orlando Lightfoot, and Monson-era standouts like Brian Kellerman and Kelvin Smith.

On game nights, Idaho plays at Idaho Central Credit Union Arena (ICCU Arena) in Moscow, Idaho. Opened in 2021, ICCU Arena is built around a striking mass-timber domed structure made largely of Idaho wood, and it replaced Memorial Gymnasium as the primary basketball venue. With an approximate capacity of 4,200, it’s an intimate, modern arena where the seating stays close to the court and the crowd noise can build quickly.

Big Sky matchups can drive strong demand, especially regional and in-state pairings. Rivalries and frequent opponents that can elevate interest include Boise State when the programs meet, in-state Big Sky rival Idaho State, and regional conference opponents like Eastern Washington, Montana, and Montana State. If there’s a specific rivalry game you’re targeting, browsing Idaho Vandals Basketball tickets early is the smartest move.
