Charlotte Checkers Tickets

There’s nothing quite like hockey in the close-in setting of Bojangles' Coliseum—an intimate, historic arena where the crowd feels right on top of the ice and the energy builds fast as the game gets going. Whether you’ve followed the team for years or you’re planning your first game, Charlotte Checkers tickets put you inside one of Charlotte’s most fun, affordable pro sports atmospheres.

This page covers everything you need — from choosing the right seats at Bojangles' Coliseum to knowing what to expect when you arrive on game night.

About the Charlotte Checkers

The Charlotte Checkers bring affordable, family-friendly professional hockey to Charlotte, North Carolina as members of the American Hockey League (AHL). Founded as an AHL franchise in 2010, the team plays a key role in the sport’s development pipeline as the top affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers, helping prepare prospects and two-way players for the next level.

The Checkers’ modern highlight is a Calder Cup championship (2019), underscoring the strength of the organization’s on-ice product and player-development approach. Under head coach Geordie Kinnear, Charlotte continues to focus on building winning habits while moving NHL-ready talent through the system for a perennial Stanley Cup contender.

On game nights, the Checkers play at Bojangles' Coliseum in Charlotte. Opened in 1955, the building is known for its distinctive free-standing domed roof and a compact feel that helps create a loud environment with fans close to the ice. With a hockey capacity of approximately 8,600, it’s the kind of arena where the action feels immediate—especially in the lower rows and rinkside areas. For a great mix of value and availability, browsing Charlotte Checkers tickets early is the smartest move.

Charlotte Checkers Seating at Bojangles' Coliseum

Bojangles' Coliseum is known for an up-close hockey experience, and its compact footprint helps keep sightlines tight throughout the bowl. With a primarily single-bowl setup and seating that wraps around the ice, you can choose anything from budget-friendly upper rows to glass-level seats that put you right in the middle of the action.

Best Seats for Charlotte Checkers Games

The right seat depends on what kind of game night experience you're after:

  • Best value: Upper rows and corner/end sections — an elevated view with a lower price point and a great feel for the full flow of play
  • Closest to the action: Glass-level and rinkside seating — the fastest way to feel the pace of hockey up close
  • Best overall view: Center-ice sections along the sides near center ice — strong sightlines for seeing plays develop across the ice
  • For groups and premium experiences: Limited premium/club and group areas near center ice — added comfort and a great setup for outings and special occasions

If you’re organizing a group, it’s smart to line up seats early—especially for popular dates and high-demand matchups.

The map lets you compare sections side by side, check row depth and distance from the ice, and see real-time pricing for what's currently available — all before you commit to a purchase.

Can I See Where My Seats Are?

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Use it to get a clear picture of your sightline, whether you're positioned at center ice or behind a net, and how close you'll be to the ice — so the seat you choose matches what you're actually looking for.

Getting Ready for Charlotte Checkers Game Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially in a compact arena environment where entry lines and traffic can build quickly close to puck drop.

  • Download your tickets before you leave. Mobile service near Bojangles' Coliseum gets congested on game nights. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
  • Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
  • Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand nights.
  • Public Transit: Bojangles' Coliseum is served by Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus routes along the Independence Boulevard corridor, which can be a convenient alternative to driving on game night.
  • Rideshare: Designated rideshare pickup/drop-off areas are available at the venue complex—plan a post-game pickup point so you’re not searching in the crowd.
  • Check parking plans in advance. On-site surface parking is available at the Bojangles' Coliseum/Ovens Auditorium complex.
