About Amegy Bank College Baseball Series

The Amegy Bank College Baseball Series is a Houston-based, early-season college baseball showcase that brings NCAA Division I programs into a Major League Baseball environment at Minute Maid Park (Daikin Park) in Houston, Texas. Held annually early in the college baseball season (typically late February/early March), the event gives fans a rare chance to watch prominent teams compete on an MLB field before conference play ramps up.

The format is built around a multi-game, multi-day window (often over a weekend), featuring nine-inning college baseball games played under standard college rules, including aluminum/BBCOR bats. These are non-conference games that count toward teams’ regular-season records and factor into the broader season picture—especially when it comes to building a strong resume.

What’s at stake is the kind of value that matters in college baseball: non-conference wins that influence RPI and NCAA Tournament at-large consideration, early momentum, and national ranking positioning, along with regional bragging rights among participating programs. With games played in a retractable-roof stadium that can offer climate-controlled conditions, the setting delivers a polished, big-event feel that stands out on the early-season calendar. If you're planning to attend Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, browsing tickets early is the smartest move.

Amegy Bank College Baseball Series tickets typically range from around $15–$40 for general/upper-level and lower-level seats to higher prices or more for premium club and field-level seats and suites, with premium packages running higher.

Pricing is most affected by which teams are playing (including nationally ranked programs or rivalry-style matchups), the day/session, proximity to game day, and premium seating location—especially seats positioned behind home plate and along the baselines. Getting Ready for Amegy Bank College Baseball Series Game Day

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation goes a long way — especially for downtown arrival timing and entry screening at a major league ballpark.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cellular service near large events can get congested on game days. Save them to your phone's wallet or screenshot them as a backup.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is the standard, and your phone is your entry. A portable battery pack is worth having.
• Arrive early. Give yourself extra time for entry and security, especially on high-demand dates.
• Public Transit: The ballpark is served by Houston METRO, including METRORail and bus service to downtown Houston, with the venue adjacent to Union Station.
• Rideshare: Use the designated pickup and drop-off zones on downtown streets surrounding the ballpark.
• Bag Policy: Minute Maid Park enforces a restricted bag policy—small bags within posted size limits are permitted, while larger bags and most hard-sided coolers are prohibited, with clear-bag style restrictions and screening at entry.
• Payment/Cashless: Minute Maid Park operates as a cashless venue; major cards and mobile payments are accepted, with cash-to-card conversion available on site.
• What to Bring: Bring mobile tickets, a permitted small/clear bag, and a payment card or mobile wallet. A team cap or layers are optional thanks to the retractable-roof, climate-controlled setting.
