Comedian Information

New Material Monday is a weekly stand-up comedy showcase series in Nashville, Tennessee, hosted at Zanies Comedy Club. The show is built around the creative process of comedy itself, giving audiences a chance to see comedians try out new jokes in front of a live room. Each performance features a rotating lineup of local and touring comedians, which makes every date its own one-night comedy experience.

The format gives the show a different kind of appeal than a polished special or fully set tour stop. Comedians use the stage to test new ideas, work through timing, and see how fresh material connects with an audience. Because the lineup is unannounced and changes from show to show, New Material Monday has an unpredictable quality that fits the club setting.

New Material Monday remains active as an ongoing weekly showcase at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, with scheduled dates continuing through 2026 and performances listed at 7:00 PM. The show’s identity is defined by variety: multiple comedic voices, evolving material, and a close-up comedy club atmosphere where audiences get to experience jokes in their earliest live form.

Why See New Material Monday Live

A New Material Monday live show is centered on discovery. The premise is simple and appealing for comedy fans: comedians step onstage with fresh, unpolished material and work it out in front of a real audience. That makes the room feel active and immediate, because the laughs, pauses, tags, and rewrites are all part of the night.

The rotating lineup is a core part of the experience. Themes, delivery styles, and comic perspectives can shift throughout the show depending on which local and touring comedians appear that evening. For fans who enjoy stand-up beyond finished specials, New Material Monday offers a closer look at how jokes develop before they are refined for bigger rooms or future sets.

The comedy-club setting matters, too. Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville provides the kind of intimate environment where timing, reaction, and room energy are easy to feel. New Material Monday is a live-only club experience, which means each performance is unique to that date and audience.

New Material Monday Comedy Style

New Material Monday’s comedy style is built around a multi-comic stand-up showcase format. The material is new and untested, with comedians using the stage to try fresh jokes, workshop ideas, and respond to what lands in the room. Since the lineup rotates, the recurring themes and delivery styles vary by performer, giving each show a different rhythm.

The show is intended for general adult audiences and features standard stand-up content with mature language. Because the night includes multiple comedians and work-in-progress material, guests should expect adult-oriented humor that can shift in subject matter from one performer to the next.

New Material Monday Seating Guide

New Material Monday takes place in a comedy-club setting at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville. In an intimate room built for stand-up, where timing and delivery drive the experience, both clear audio and proximity to the stage can shape how the night feels.

Best Seats for a New Material Monday Show

The right seat depends on what kind of show experience you're after:

• Best value: Rear and side club seating — stand-up is an audio-first experience, and a well-run comedy room carries the jokes clearly while keeping ticket costs accessible.
• Closest to the performer: Front and stage-adjacent tables or seats — these put you nearest the comics and the in-room energy as new material is tested in real time.
• Best overall experience: Mid-room seating — this often provides a strong balance of sightline, sound, proximity, and crowd response, making it a smart choice for most comedy fans.
• For groups: Coordinate your seats together early, since contiguous seating in a club setting can become harder to find as limited-capacity inventory sells through.

Can I See Where My Seats Are?

Yes. The interactive seat map on BoxOfficeTicketSales.com shows your exact section and row placement before you buy. Use it to understand your position in the venue, your distance from the stage, and whether you're near the stage, in the middle of the room, or farther back — so the tickets you choose match exactly what you're looking for on show night.

Getting Ready for Show Night

Once your tickets are confirmed, a little preparation makes the evening run smoother from arrival through the final punchline.

• Download your tickets before you leave. Cell service around theaters and arenas gets congested on event nights. Save your tickets to your phone's wallet or screenshot them before heading out so you're ready at the door.
• Charge your phone fully. Digital ticketing is standard at most comedy venues. A portable battery pack is worth having for a full evening, especially if you're combining the show with dinner beforehand.
• Arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime. Comedy shows tend to start on or close to the listed time, and lines build quickly for popular dates.
• Check the venue's phone and recording policy. Many stand-up shows ask audiences not to record during the performance.
• Know what to expect content-wise. New Material Monday features adult-oriented stand-up with mature language, consistent with standard comedy-club content for general adult audiences. Because the lineup rotates and comedians are testing new material, the subject matter can vary throughout the night.
